will not buy from the seller or this product,both are very hard to work with,battery did not charge up,try to get a replace from the seller they said I had to go to the manufature,went there took 2 months to get a new battery, and gusee what,it don't work ether,I try to get them to replace the player,they say it now out of werranty,and I have to go back to the seller and they say the same thing,they only have a 30 replayment,if you want a credit,you have to pay for shipping back to them,it was have the cost of the player to ship it back,now I have a player that doesn't work on the battery,it only works when it's plug into house curant or the car battery,I'm know a very happy camper with this seller or the manufacture,Leroy Redford
I thought it was a good deal since it came with a carrying case but I sure was wrong. I don't understand how these ever made it to market. The only good review you will find on these units is from the poor sellers who bought a bunch of them and are trying to sell them as fast as they can before the word gets out that these players are defective. They are cheaply made in China and they come with virtually NO SOUND. I am not kidding you. And try to get Spectron's customer service to help you. That is a nightmare in itself.
The backlight went out on the LCD screen. We bought ours around Easter of 2007. So, to make a long story short, just stay away. We left it in the box until our summer vacation. The second time we went to use it on the same trip (the third movie)the screen did not work. I would not even give it 1 star but that was the lowest I could go with the scale provided. :-)
Very light and cheap. I thought it would keep the kids quiet on our long journey but boy was I wrong. I bought a Protron / Spectron unit at my local Toys R Us store and thought it would be a good idea to use on a family journey to Disney World. I wish I would have read other reviews on this product before I purchased one. All the kids keep saying was daddy turn it up. The volume was up all the way but it was barely a whisper plus you could hear the chattering of the unit and all times. I did take it back with no problems after our trip but learned a lesson. Stay away from this brand and save your self a real headache.
It also comes with all the cords that are needed to use the player. This is a great player. It comes with a case, features 180 degrees adjustable viewing angle. It comes with a remote, ear-buds. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PLAYER.
